Artis Artis Nakal Asia Psychosocial Development: In psychoanalytic terms, the genital phase occurs during adolescence and is the main source of sexual tension. Power is focused on relationships with friends old and new. Experience with this relationship gives preparation for marriage. Sense of identity (Erikson, 1963) must be developed. Adolescence is a transition that involves changes in physical and biological reality.

The need for an intimate relationship is strong and believe in the approval of peers is dominant. Decisions about employment options also occurred during this time. Assessment questions that nurses can ask themselves, clients, or anyone else in the client's environment include: - How do you feel about her clients? - The type of relationship held whether the teen's with someone else? Same sex? The opposite sex? - How do clients feel about the physical changes that occur during puberty? - Is the teen began to think about what the job will take? - Opinion who is valued client? If the opinion is contrary to the authority of parents, whether committed by teenagers?
